Highlighting PaTH’s Newest Sites: Boston Medical Center and Rush University Medical Center

Last year, the PaTH Network’s national parent organization, PCORnet®, launched an initiative to expand our clinical research capabilities to more diverse regions and populations. PaTH has been lucky to welcome two new sites into our network.

Boston Medical Center (BMC) has a long history of serving patients in the Greater Boston area for over 150 years. With this rich past in mind, BMC is always looking toward the future. Boston Medical Center is the principal teaching affiliate of Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, and it offers numerous opportunities for residents and fellows. This is only one way BMC has future generations in mind. It is known as the greenest hospital in the city of Boston, and it has a heavy focus on medical research with over 750 active projects. This medical center features over 70 different specialties in healthcare, but all are approached with empathy. From a passion for research to compassion for patients, Boston Medical Center has fit right in with the PaTH Network!

We are also happy to have RUSH University and RUSH University System for Health join PaTH. Located in Chicago, RUSH University exclusively focuses on health sciences and its students are educated and trained by expert staff with real-world learning opportunities. A leader in medical research and care, RUSH University Medical Center has history dating back 180 years and is consistently praised for patient care, educational initiatives, and community partnerships. RUSH has been a key institution in Chicago since its founding and today, it focuses on building healthier communities by working together with local organizations, community leaders, residents, and patients to promote health equity.

We at PaTH have been ecstatic to add RUSH and Boston Medical Center to our network – and we look forward to a bright and collaborative future together!
