Research Readiness Coordinators: Setting Studies up for Success!

Bonny Rockette-Wagner speaks at the annual PaTH Face2Face, September 2025.

On any given day as PaTH’s Research Readiness Coordinator (RRC), Bonny Rockette-Wagner might meet with an investigator to introduce them to PCORnet™ resources, help refine a data query to find out whether or not sites have sufficient numbers of patients to consider participating in a given study, or review recent timelines for study start-up with project managers from across the PaTH Network. The role of the RRC was designed to help investigators navigate the world of PCORnet and decide if PCORnet resources are a good fit for their research question. RRCs also help to make sure that studies meet their milestones on time, with proactive tracking and troubleshooting, as well as working to streamline study start-up by working with PaTH teams at each site. By helping investigators understand how to best leverage PCORnet resources, RRCs play an integral role in turning research ideas into meaningful findings for patients and their families. "One thing I love about this position is that all the RRC's are starting together so we are all working together and learning together. It's really nice to have a community of other RRCs to rely on. I think we will make a big impact over the next year or two". - Bonny Rockette Wagner
